What is SAT?

The SAT is a standardized test widely used for college admissions in the United States. SAT is a paper-based test and is scored on a scale from 400-1600. It is a widely used college admission test that assesses a student's ability in reading, writing and math skills.

How soon can I get my score?

The scores will be available within 3 weeks after the exam date.

If I take the SAT more than once, which score will be considered by the universities?

Almost all the universities take the best score out of all the scores

Do I need to have the SAT score at the time of applying to universities?

Yes, you should be ready with your SAT scores at the time of applying to universities. It is advisable to send the scores as early as possible as the College Board also says that this shows colleges that you are a very interested applicant.

Is an essay required in the SAT?

Is it possible to cancel my SAT score?

Yes. You can ask the test coordinator for a request to cancel your scores from the test center itself. If you want to delete your score after you leave your center, you can request to cancel the score from the college board site.
